Meet Dr. Nego Roberts
Your Dentist
Dr. Nego Roberts is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality dental care while building lasting relationships with the patients and families of Statesville and the surrounding communities. His journey into dentistry has been unique, allowing him to understand patient care from every level of the dental profession.
Dr. Roberts first discovered his passion for dentistry while shadowing dental professionals. Inspired by the positive impact they made in patients’ lives, he completed a three-month dental assisting training program and began working as a dental assistant. Wanting to expand his knowledge and clinical skills, he continued his education and graduated as a dental hygienist in 2008. He spent nearly a decade caring for patients as a registered dental hygienist, developing a strong foundation in preventive care, patient education, and helping patients feel comfortable during their dental visits.
Driven by a desire to provide comprehensive dental treatment, Dr. Roberts pursued his lifelong goal of becoming a dentist and entered dental school in 2017 at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he completed an intensive one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull Medical Center, where he received advanced training in comprehensive dentistry, emergency dental care, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry and the treatment of medically complex patients.
After residency, Dr. Roberts relocated to North Carolina where he served patients of Iredell, Mecklenburg, Union, Richmond and other counties. He continued to pursue advanced education through extensive continuing education courses and hands-on clinical training. He is committed to staying current with the latest techniques, technologies, and evidence-based practices so he can provide his patients with modern, comfortable, and predictable dental care.
Having served in nearly every role within a dental office—from dental assistant to dental hygienist and now dentist—Dr. Roberts brings a unique perspective to patient care. He understands the importance of listening, educating, and creating personalized treatment plans that help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with his family and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Statesville community. He looks forward to welcoming you to RelyOn Smiles Dental and helping you achieve a lifetime of healthy smiles.
